COSTUMES

Our 2009-2010 Recital will be mid June and the exact dates will be announced approximately in Feb along with the dates for Pictures and the Dress Rehearsal. All dance classes will have the opportunity to perform in the recital. Each dancer is measured (during regular class time in late November) and compared against the costume company’s sizing chart. However, many different shapes must fit into the costume company’s standard “Small/Medium/Large” sizes. (You will not be receiving a costume that is custom-made especially for your dancer, so it will not fit perfectly.) We will post each dancer’s “suggested costume size” on the studio room windows in mid December. Parents may decide to order our “suggested costume size” or choose an alternate size. Because you know your child’s size more accurately, you are the final authority on the size ordered. The studio must pay for these costumes in full when ordered to insure delivery before pictures; therefore, the entire costume payment is due by December 11th. Costume companies now charge a $25 exchange fee per costume. We will have names of seamstresses available to help with fitting problems, with payment for a seamstress being your responsibility. Often there are straps to attach and accessories to sew on the costume. Some costumes will have matching hats, gloves, etc. These items are not included in the Costume Price specified below. Those classes needing additional accessories will have an extra fee due by January 30th. Pictures of the costumes will be displayed in February. Each class will need specific color/brand of tights and specific color shoes. A list of these items will be posted in February.

COSTUME PRICES

Combo classes (ages 3-5yr) = $55 Ballet/Tap and Jazz/Acro classes (5-7yr) = $60

Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Acro, and Hip Hop (7-12yr) classes= $65 Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Acro and Hip Hop (teen) classes = $70

Costume payments are NON-REFUNDABLE. All recital costumes checks will be deposited on January 7, 2008 (as long as costume check is separate from tuition payment.) Please write “costumes” in MEMO portion of check. Payments received after December 14th will have an additional $10 charge for special handling AND we can not guarantee the costumes will be received in time for recital pictures. We are aware and sympathetic of the fact that this payment is due during the holiday season. Unfortunately, ordering costumes this early is the only way the costume companies will guarantee delivery in time for Pictures/Dress Rehearsal.
