Hello, my name is Ashlee Peak and I’m currently in the midst of my senior year. It’s definitely a bitter sweet time. I’ve been dancing at Devney’s for about seven years, It’s hard to imagine it coming to an end. I feel so honored to have been selected as one of the dancers of the year for last year! Over these past seven years I have experienced and learned so much. Starting in 2005-2006 I was selected as Arizona’s National American Miss teen talent winner. Even though that experience was memorable I decided to focus primarily on dance from then on. From there in 2006 I was astounded when my solo received first place at Starbound. That was something I had never imagined was within my reach. From there we went to nationals with Starbound where I was in the top ten overall, something that I, again, never fathomed I would obtain. Than this year I was nominated as Dance club president, something that I also never thought I’d receive, but am so honored. Now, as senior year progresses I realize how far not only myself, but Devney’s as a whole has come! I’m so honored to be a part of this amazing family! I just would like to say thank you to the girls who are always there for each other, never stop supporting one another. The teachers, who put up with us and our tiff’s week after week! And more than ever, Devney, she’s like a second mom to all of us, no matter what she’s always there and always willing to help us!

Brianna

My name is Brianna Coleman and I am a junior at Sunrise Mountain High School.
I am an active member of many clubs at school both dance and non dance related. I have danced consecutively since the age of three. Ever since Devney's opened in 1998, I have taken classes here. I am now apart of the Diamond performing group as well as a teacher of ballet and jazz ages 5-12. As a member of performing group I have taken part in many competitions and have had the honor to win some memorable awards. I was a Hoctors' Caravan Kids Acceptant in 2003, in 2006, and in 2007. I won the Hollywood Vibe Tuition Scholarship Winner in 2006 and in 2007. I was Starbound Regional's 3rd Place Overall for my lyrical solo "Why," and Starbound Nationals 5th Place Overall for the same dance. I also received a Judges Award at the Starbound Nationals for "Awesome Legs and Lines"dancing "Why." I qualified for the Starbound New York Experience to attend classes in 2006. I was Dancer Competitions First Overall for my solo "Oh So Quiet." From Dancer Competitions I was also a Summer Jazz Intensive Acceptant in 2006 and a Summer Jazz Intensive Scholarship Acceptant 2007.
